RESIDENT TO CITY - Let City Teams Do Their Jobs!

Caryl Gorska’s letter published on January 13, 2017 does not accurately reflect why I recommended a no vote on Measure D. My vote was not because I am opposed to the The Hills, but because I truly believe this is a wonderful solution for Vallco and Cupertino.

My vote was to allow the City Council, Building and Planning Departments to do their jobs and not have a proposition tie their hands.

We have these teams to assure compliance with environmental, safety, tax and other concerns. Measure D was not needed.

All we needed was what the voters delivered—a No vote on Measure C.

I did, however, enjoy Gary Jones’s note on VTSD in the same issue!
