"NO NO NO" IS NOT HOW YOU RUN A CITY, IT’S THE EQUIVALENT OF A 3-YEAR-OLD’S NEGOTIATING ST
Last evening’s Cupertino Council Forum provided by the League of Women Voters was very illuminating as to the differences between the current governing officials (Scharf + Moore) and their responsible and professional challengers (Wei + Fruen).
Here’s what our City has wrought since the 2016 election of this “Better Cupertino” Group:
Your Tax Dollars used for losing lawsuits, initiatives, and litigation that brought us no where closer to getting the kind of City we want. They claim to be “Resident-Oriented” but instead of delivering for residents, they use the childish “NO NO NO” to waste MILLIONS of TAX-PAYER dollars:
$225,441 Scharf + Chao Measure C lawsuit (LOST)
$241,382 Kitty Moore lawsuit (LOST)
$171,072 Kitty Moore lawsuit (LOST)
$ 70,310 Kitty Moore lawsuit (LOST)
$341,531 Corrupt City attorney (PAID OFF)
THIS IS $2,036,404 OF YOUR TAX MONEY WASTED
What are their major accomplishments on behalf of the Residents they claim to represent:
Homeless encampments in multiple locations in the City of Cupertino
Increase in crime and home invasions
Loss of City revenue leading to reduced services such as bike lanes
School closures planned through-out the City
Declining property values due to the items above
City Council meetings lasting past midnight - 15 out of 22 meetings
City Council CLOSED DOOR meetings - 22 regular meetings with 27 closed meetings.
This is not government transparency, this is not “resident-based” governing, this is governing by small fringe political interest group and after four years, it has utterly FAILED.
Let’s get back to what has made this City the envy of Silicon Valley, home to the largest company in the World with world-class public schools, safe neighborhoods, ethnic diversity, and innovative entrepreneurialism to take us to the next Century!
Wasted Tax Dollars + Higher Taxes = Scharf and Moore
Good Governance + Responsible Leadership = Wei and Fruen
